A right-hand reef break peeling over dead coral in front of the Club Med Kani resort on Kanifinolhu; surfnerd.com and stokedfortravel.com describe it as slow and easygoing, explicitly 'good for beginners and long-boarders', closing out once surf pushes past shoulder-high (works roughly 1-5ft). Named for the Japanese surfers who favored the break.

surfnerd.com notes it works best on W-NW winds with a moderate south swell -- a condition-specific hedge, not a fixed calendar season.

Reached by boat from nearby North Male Atoll islands/resorts; the reef is shallow enough that reef boots are commonly recommended (surfnerd.com).
